Luciana was brought up in Rome through her father and mother - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian military officer. Her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was at one time Benito Mussolini's lovers. Luciana does not have known siblings. Luciana studied at a local school before matriculating at the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of the only women in her class. Her modeling career began within two years. Then, it was changed after she got her first role in acting accidentally when she visited her father's Rome acquaintance. It was a 2-line part in the film Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey, an actor himself, was her very first spouse. The couple made Return to the Peyton Palace in 1960 following their married. Luciana received custody after the couple split a few years after Charles had been born. Luciana and Tony Athony had a relationship between 1962 and 1970. Tony Athony played an actor and producer inspired by Luciana's work on the movie Green Slime. Based on the film, he wrote and created his own Spaghetti Western hybrid that became well-known.
