Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in the United States for more than 40 years. Most famously, she is known for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). Bettle's musical Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. Later, in 1956, she got her first big break with a performance on Broadway with Li'l Abner. The album was released by her too late for Tina that same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre, a film from 1957 that was a dramatic. The film was an enormous success and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In the years prior to this, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. The next notable role she portrayed was Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on with in 1964. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway as a somber character to counter her image of glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made a name for herself as a successful director in various well-known television shows like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto and she lived there for growing up and in adolescence. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever since.
