Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and writer who was awarded numerous prizes. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). Her desire to be an artist was inspired by her upbringing in the New York family of artists. She started as a photographic assistant and then moved on to acting and modeling. She was noticed in two of her films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw quickly became famous following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years, she had been voted as the most popular female box-office starter in the whole world. In 1972, her footprints along with her signature were inscribed on the wall at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
